How To Help

Bob Bewley's T-shirt Challenge

During the month of July 2016, we are pleased to share with you

Bob Bewley's Micah Project T-shirt Challenge

This challenge was issued by Micah Project's long-time friend, Bob Bewley on Facebook. Here is his original post...

Ok. Honduras Micah Project supporters, let's have a little fun in July. I will pay $5.00 for each man, woman, child or pet who posts a photo of themselves in a Micah Project Tee and/or hat (or handmade sign OR their favorite MP photo of all times) up to a maximum of $1000.00 by 31JUL2016. Let's be creative in where we take our photos (Randy M - I Expect a photo of your MP Tee in front of the Eiffel Tower for which I will pay double). To encourage us, the MP guys can post a photo in a MP Tee in their most creative pose for which the winner (I am the sole judge) will receive Limps1000. Since July is usually a slow month for donations and if you are able, consider posting a similar challenge to your FB Friends using any amount (none is too small). At the end of July, send your check to the MP and put "FB" in the memo line so we can see the results of our "MP Tee" challenge. OK, MP Supporters, let's go! Happy 4th of July and may God bless the USA!

So, how does this work?

Frequently Asked Questions

I don't have a Micah t-shirt, can I still participate?
Yes! As Bob mentioned, some other options would be to pose wearing a Micah hat, make a Micah Project sign or print out and pose with your favorite Micah photo.  Also, if you don't have a Micah t-shirt, but want one, you can write to Howard at hajacobson.micah@gmail.com and request one. We usually ask that you consider donating $15 to cover the cost of the shirt and shipping/handling.

How do I use a hashtag?
When you post your photo, just be sure to include #micahtee in the caption. That way we can find all of your photos. Remember, you may have to change your privacy settings on the photo to public in order for us to find them.

Do I have to give money?
No. Bob is giving $5 for each man, woman, child or pet that posts a picture of themselves... up to $1000 (that's 200 people!). So just by posting a picture, money will be donated to Micah.

What if more than 200 people post photos?
As the challenge gains traction, we are hoping that someone steps in to extend the challenge beyond the first $1,000. If you are interested in doing so, please write to us to get on board.

This challenge inspired me to start my own kind of challenge... how can I do that?
Any and all ideas for helping us raise funds especially during these slow months are more than welcome!  You can just post your challenge on Facebook, like Bob did, or you can write to us and we can help you get the word out. Thank you for wanting to help us out!

Is there a way to see the photos that have been posted?
As the photos start coming in, we hope to share them here on this page. Otherwise, on Facebook or Instagram you can just search for #micahtee and they should all pop up there.

What if I have another question?
Write to us and we will get back to you as soon as possible.
