This year, the Micah Project is transforming our education program to provide more opportunities for our boys to gain diverse skills. This is more important than ever because 79% of Hondurans between the ages of 19 and 24 are unemployed or severely underemployed. Due to this stark reality, the Micah Project is redoubling our efforts to provide multiple opportunities for our boys to continue their formal education while also acquiring a variety of strategic vocational skills. This year, along with their formal education, our boys will be studying carpentry, welding, auto mechanics, and the culinary arts! So many great opportunities to gain profitable skills!
Would you like to be a part of our boys’ education this year? We need to purchase supplies both for the boys themselves and for our teachers who impart classes in our formal education and vocational programs.
