WHAT WE DO

Overview

A Pathway to Redemption, Rooted in Relationship

At the Micah Project, transformation doesn’t happen overnight, and it never happens in isolation. That’s why our ministry is built around a holistic model of care, where each part of the journey is designed to meet a young man right where he is and walk with him every step of the way.

From the first connection through street ministry, to the healing and structure of the Micah House, to the maturity and independence fostered in the Timothy House, and the practical tools developed in Micah Works, each program plays a vital role in restoring dignity, purpose, and hope.

It’s not just about changing a life. It’s about walking alongside a boy until he fully knows he’s loved by us, and by a God who will never let him go.

  • Street Ministry

Micah’s Street Ministry is where so many of our boys take their first steps toward a new life. Every week, our team heads into the heart of Tegucigalpa to spend time with the kids who call the streets home. We learn their names, hear their stories, and remind them they are not forgotten. Over time, as trust grows, some choose to take a brave step forward leaving the streets behind and joining the Micah family. Others show up at our door in need of food, medical care, or simply someone to talk to. No matter where they are in their journey, we want them to know this: they are loved, they have value, and there is hope for a different future in Christ.

  • Micah House

The Micah House is a safe, family-like home for boys ages 11-18 who were previously connected to the streets of Tegucigalpa. It serves as their second first step after meeting Micah through our street ministry, providing a place of healing, connection, and growth. With daily Bible study, education, and vocational training, the boys gain the tools they need for a brighter future. Our home is filled with learning, laughter, and the transformative power of Christ’s love.

  • Timothy House

The Timothy House is the next step for young men aging out of the Micah House or similar programs, providing a stable home as they transition into adulthood. While many orphanages end their services at this age, we believe that we must continue to support our young men as they follow their dreams in the next several years of their lives. The Timothy House offers a supportive environment where they can continue their studies, develop life skills, and work toward independence. In a city with severe housing shortages, it ensures these young men don’t fall back into poverty but instead build a solid foundation for their future.

  • Micah Works

Micah Works is our vocational training program and our path forward, empowering our young men to break the cycle of poverty and step into a future of stability and purpose. In a country where youth unemployment is overwhelming, we equip them with hands-on training in woodworking, welding, and culinary arts, alongside essential life skills through Micah Works Academy. More than just job training, it’s a launchpad for independence that provides the confidence, skills, and Christ-centered foundation they need to build a better future.
